Harran has designed and built a range of rugged 0 to 10 tonne mud skip weigh scales for use offshore, when weighing skips on the crane hook is not possible or accurate enough. Designed to resist the harsh service conditions found in the offshore environment, these scales are particularly suitable for use in zone 0 or 1 hazardous areas as, being hydraulic, they need neither an external nor an internal power source.

Proven in service over the last eight years, these scales are available for either long or short-term hire, or sale.

The scales are stackable for storage, and are designed to fit inside containers or open-top baskets for economical shipping.

They are not temperature dependent and have been used in West Africa, the North Sea and Northern Asia with equal success.
